Transwomen are not women

Abstract: A rising belief in our culture is that transwomen are women. I will argue this is false on every account and explain why the biological account is true. I will refute some objections to my position. I will start with the biological account and then address each competing account consecutively. It’s important to note that even if this biological account fails, it wouldn’t follow that transwomen are women. I will argue every competing account fails. May this paper promote further inquiry into these issues.

Biological Account

The biological account is that woman means adult human female. Under this view, transwomen are not women because transwomen are adult human males. An adult human male is not an adult human female. There are multiple reasons to accept this view.
